Why does my TV have sound but no picture?

Why won’t my TV switch on?
The cause may be external power, the power supply, controls or another internal circuit. Check only accessible cables and the socket when safe. Do not open the television, especially if it smells hot or has damaged wiring.
Can TV backlights be replaced?
Compatible LED backlight assemblies can be replaced on suitable models. The panel must be intact and safe to handle, and the correct parts must be available. OLED screens do not use conventional backlight strips.
